Rare "Obliqua" lounge chair designed by Mario Botta for Alias Italy 1987.
Original black leather in very good condition.
This minimalist postmodern lounge chair with its sharp angles inspired by the inclination of an airplane has a strong sculptural presence.
The base is composed of black polyurethane pressed to high density with a granulated surface.
The two armrests integrate the backrest and the seat are upholstered in black leather which creates a large and cozy envelope literally embracing the user.
The seating cushion which is inclined like the rest of the chair flips down in horizontal position when seated by the means of an ingenious mechanism hidden in the base. Unused it flips up in its former position.
