Rare lighting sculpture by Italian designer and sculptor Gaetano Missaglia for his own company Missaglia at the end of the 1960's.
The light source is situated inside the chromed metal base which features a switch which functions also as a dimmer.
The light is mainly diffused through the four sculpturally shaped lucite ribbons to become visible at the ends which is creating a striking visual effect.
This rare lighting sculpture embodies the innovative spirit of this small lighting manufacturer which stands out during this period with other italian lighting companies such as New Lamp and Francesconi.
