This is a stunning exemplary of the large model of the ‘Apocalypse Now’ by Carlo Forcolini. The table is composed of a square top of corten steel and a galvanised tubular steel with four angled legs and thick rounded rubber feet.
The Apocalypse Now features a centrally placed height-adjustable lamp with a black circular knob to change the light intensity.
The tabletop in untreated Corten Steel which was deliberately meant to rust has acquired the most amazing patina emphasized by switching on the central light source.
The Apocalypse Now stands on four thick rounded rubber feet.
All in all a fantastic postmodern piece in the wake of the raw designs by Paolo Pallucco or the Pentagon Group.
