Description Postmodern Coathanger designed by Ettore Sottsass, Italy ca.1980

This piece was originally designed for the stores of the Italian fashion brand Fiorucci in Venise and never went into serial production.

The coat hanger features a rectangular base with rounded edges and a surface in laminated wood with Sottsass own "Bacterio" motiv. The tubular steel structure is inserted in the base and is held by two massive steel rings.

Thanks to the wheels hidden under the base this massive piece can be moved around easily.

The coathanger can be disassembled in four pieces for more convenient transport.
